VISUAL COMMUNICATION OF DATA
Design Brief: Explore strategies and techniques for using typography to organize visual information. Design two-data driven informational posters, one typographic and one that integrates both type and image, on a selected topic. The goal is to make the information legible and beautiful; to craft the form as well as the message.
As a cinephile, it made sense for me to research the American Film Industry. Since my data was a collective summary of the 2016 industry, I chose to display the content in modular sections in both posters so that viewers saw each data point as an individual piece of information.
